Willcox Basin Informational Packet

The following informational packet will be distributed a the ADWR hydrology presentation on September 26, 2024 in Willcox.

The packet includes the following documents:

  1. May 2024 Letter to Governor and Legislators with over 200 signatures urging the Governor to veto SB1221 and come up with a meaningful legislative solution to address rural groundwater management for rural Arizona.
  2. April 2023 Letter to Governor, ADWR Director and Legislators with over 160 signatures urging the legislature to pass the LGSA legislation addressing rural groundwater management and in the absence of legislative action that the Governor and ADWR initiate the INA/AMA designation process for the Willcox Basin.
  3.  Local opinion: Water crisis calls for new legislation, op-ed by Lisa Glenn for the Arizona Daily Star January 24, 2024
